    Default Spring assist solution

    Hey guys, has anyone who has added speakers to their towers played around with the spring assist? Once adding the weight of the speakers, the spring assist no longer has the ability to hold the tower like it did originally. I'm looking to upgrade the stock spring to one with a higher spring rate and upgrade the cable to one that is slightly larger in diameter (just to be safe). Once I measure the spring rate of the stock spring the hard part will be guessing what spring rate to make the new one. Has anyone done this? If so, what spring rate did you go with? Thanks.
