Default 2013 LSV swim platform movement

Any suggestions on how to stop my swim platform from moving up and down while both just sitting in the water and while surfing? I've tightened the screws on both sides and it still moves up/down about an inch. I recently added a FEA and its bolted to the platform and so it moves too. Thought about shims on the top side of the mounting bracket. I can hear the platform rattle a bit while surfing.

I take a washer that will fit between the bracket and holder at the top , then bend the washer with 2 vice grips so you can remove it in the fall. I others have used lock washers so they don't fall completely down in the gap

I use composite door shims and break them off when tight.
I don't pull the platform off much, but the shims can be broken up to remove, if need be

Shims are the only option other than going to the 2014 brackets.

You will want to replace the Allen screws with stainless bolts ASAP. If not you will have bent, broken or stripped set screws. Gonna want to replace those pins also. They will fall out occasionally.
