FAE & OJ Prop
Installed the FAE this week amazing difference , except for the more noticeable growl of the prop. Can this be fixed or do I need to get an Acme propeller , Im using the OJ TZ-X5 what does ACME have that compares .

I don't think I've seen a fix for the OJ growl... other than replacing it with an Acme.

You sure it's not just that you can hear the growl better now that the exhaust is so much more quiet? I'm pretty sure that was the case after my install. I eventually went to the 1617 prop. I think it reduced the growl some. Definitely helped get the boat moving.

I think the growl is only with 14" diameter propellers. I have a 13.7 x 17 OJ prop that doesn't growl. I do run an ACME though (1161).

FAE & OJ Prop
If you could describe it, what does the "growl" sound like. Our Mondo is our boat and I have only ever had an OJ prop. Been thinking about upgrading to ACME 1235 but haven't taken that step yet.
