Default Found Baby fly in Spiders Web....what do I do

Omg , came home tonight and found a spiders web between my boat trailer guide pole and my boat. I went to swipe it off when I noticed a baby fly that lost its poor way and is trapped in the web. I'm afraid the spider may eat it....... what should I do?????
I've searched the web and found nothing, but worse I cannot for the life of me find its mother!!!!! Anyone want me to send it to them so they can care for it till it is full grown???? I would do it myself but I am going on holidays for 2 weeks.

Got an idea. If shipping is an option ....... There is actually another thread where we found a bird sanctuary in Clermont, FL. You could send it to them. The Bird and fly are pretty similar, better shipping rates I bet.

Let me see if I can find a link ... Bam

Note that you should ship with twigs and dry leaves.

Now this is a forum for solving problems!

I saw the title of the other thread but didn't read it, I saw this one and knew immediately it was meant to mock the other. Pretty damn funny!

Actually Doug, your experience is pretty common for us Florida folks! We have "banana" spiders down here that can throw up a web that is 30 feet wide and you never know where they will be spun.

Pretty common to go zippin' around in your yard and catch one of these webs with your face. Then it sticks to ya and you drag around the web with the spider in it.

When you go camping with newbies, and you tromp around at night without flashlights - it's always fun to have them take point on a trail that hasn't been used for a while

Good thread. I thought it was funny (except for the bird having to be killed - that sucked).

    Regards

    e
