My first boat - 2000 Outback
Hey guys,
New here. Name is Andrew. Live in Maryville, TN where Skiers Choice is headquartered. My girlfriend convinced me into getting a boat even though I was quite hesitant. This would be her 3rd boat, but my first, but I am glad I did it even though I've already spent enough and still haven't even scratched the surface on the plans for it. I am loving it though so far and learning to wakeboard just wish TN summer weather would cooperate a bit better and stop having spotty Tstorms every afternoon .
I'm a big car guy so after getting this boat I'm surprised I didn't do this sooner anything with an engine gets me going and this 350CI Indmar sounds lovely on the water. Anyway here it is. Yes it needs really good buff which I don't have the patience for so Viper Customs will be handling that and keeping my fingers cross when I got to order a Seadek platform pad that it comes in a reasonable time.
The little upgrades I have already done: Replaced the ORIGINAL tower speakers from 2000. Holy crap they were hilarious looking and were terrible. Installed some Rockford Fosgates. Not really my favorite company but they were affordable and for now I am happy with them. Upgraded the original Kenwood to a Pioneer car unit. Really happy with the unit actually makes the original Kenwoods sound good. Next year plan to upgrade the cabin speakers to some Wetsound ones.
I added a cheap wakeboard rack on the left side which I regret doesn't stay in place well, but plan on fixing that problem. Viper Customs had a Monster rack so I picked that one up for the other side.
Future plans for it: In the next month getting the red to look red again. Remove all the old logos and have a friend make me some custom Moomba logos with some sort of design down it. And hopefully get a Seadek platform pad in as well. This winter will remove the tint from the windshield and redo it since it is turning purple.
Maybe next winter spruce up the interior. We love this little boat.Boat: 2008 Moomba LSV - Exiles & Wetsounds, more mods to come

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!
I'm definitely loving it so far. Really excited to make it my own boat and differentiate it from some of the other Moombas I have seen out on the lake. I'm excited to get those damn mailbox letters/numbers off of it, haha.Boat: 2008 Moomba LSV - Exiles & Wetsounds, more mods to come

My first boat - 2000 Outback
Congrats. And welcome. I got a 98' outback last season and have done a ton of work to it since then. It's a fun boat.

A little update on the boat. I got rid of those awful mailbox letters and replaced them with a font that looks a little nicer lol.
I purchased a SeaDek pad for it. And I had Viper Customs remove the decals and do a full detail on it to bring this faded boat back to its former glory. The pictures don't do it justice.
