    Default Cleaing Sunbrella covers

Does anyone have any good suggestions for cleaning the sunbrella covers? I have a bow cover and a cockpit cover and they are filthy from the pollen and some sap from my neighbors pine trees. Are these something I can throw into the Maytag and be ok or should I take them somewhere?

Machine washing will clean them well but you may lose a lot of the water resistance. You can apply waterproofing spray (not Silicone!) but it won't be nearly as good as new. But it will be clean... My comments are all based on first-hand experience unfortunately.

I'd probably just use a hose, gentle scrub brush, and some 303 fabric cleaner which is sunbrella approved. http://www.amazon.com/303-Multi-Surf...+vinyl+cleaner
