Congrats! Not only is it a tedius process to file, but it actually takes forever to get them officially granted! As nerdy as it sounds, I've also got a few that have been granted (all in financial services): #7,840,483, #8,010,844, #8,407,126 and #8,510,209. I've got one more pending, but it's been out there for almost 2 years as the USPO doesn't move very quickly.....

7.998,515. Method and apparatus for preventing the discharge of powdery caffeine during coffee roasting. I designed the cooler/condenser unit that lowered the exhaust air temperature sufficiently to allow the caffeine to be filtered out of the discharge air.

Neat to have my name on the patent, will never make any money from it, but it was a fun project and I solved their problem.
