    Default Damn gas burner

Hooked up to the mojo with a 2013 suburban, donated by the in laws for the weekend since it has tv's so the kids can watch movies, for a 3.5 hour run to my parents. Been kicking myself I'm the ass for the past 3.5 hours. Missing my power stroke!

I'm use to hauling heavy loads so I've been running diesels since 1999. First time I've pulled anything heavy with a gas rig since before 99. I just worry about the transmissions on the gas rigs having to work so much.

I killed a 6.0L GM motor last summer, replaced with a RAM 2500 Diesel. Best move ever. To get to the lake I have to go up hill, to leave the lake I have to go up hill and I'm at 6,500 ft. If I'm not careful I'll be going 80 and not realize it. Also can get close to 20 MPG over long trips.

Suburban works great here in FL where it's nice and flat.

Dropped it into manual mode and ran it 4th the majority of the way back. It pulled a lot better. I think they must have bought the suburban with 3.08 gears from the way it pulled running it in 5th. We made it back and the family and the suburban are still in one piece so it was a great weekend on the water.

Yes that is key manual 4th or 5th and let it rev. Towed the mondo back and forth from central Ohio to Norris Lake TN this weekend and the past weekend to. Averaged 11 but had plenty of power for the hills. Yes I would rather tow with the 06 Duramax but kids like the room in the suburban.

Diesel is the only way to go. I would be missing my powerstroke too if I was in your situation.
