    Default Scurfing anyone?

During our last camping trip, around the campfire, and after a few beers, we decided to resurrect the art of Scurfing. 18 MPH and the best dismounts on the lake (that don't hurt). Next objective, look for sponsorship. Our friends we camp with own a Rinker Captiva (no ballast or surf capabilities). They like scurfing so much they are buying a surfboard.

I thought you were talking about the original scurfer from the late 80's. The board that predates wakeboards. My cousin bought one but couldn't get up. I got up quickly, so he left it in my boat.

Thick like a surfboard, 3 fins, foot straps near the back and middle.

Too funny. My daughter and I will ride long rope on the surfboard doing about 15. Cutting that wake definitely gets interesting.

I've been looking on and off for a cheapo wakesurf to put some windsurfer style binding loops on.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

For my 16th b-day I got the original Scurfer (the yellow one). It was hard to get up on at first but it was fun. I took it to Goodwill about 4 years ago. I wish I still had it. I'm 45....I had that thing a long time. The board is old but I am young...

Did this on Sunday after reading this thread. That was a really fun ride. Did a 70' rope with a surf style board at 20 MPH. That was a really smooth ride which I wasn't expecting. It was like a really mellow wakeboard ride.
