    Default Thermostat

    Question on thermostats,
Removed the thermostat last fall to winterized the boat and now can't figure out if it goes on the intake manifold or between the thermostat housing? It's a 2 piece housing with 3 bolts vortec sticker on the top.lower section has the water intake hoses and top section has the hoses to exhaust manifolds
Both spots has a notch for a thermostat
    It's a 2004 moomba with a indmar vortec 350
    Any help would be Appreciated

Usually between manifold and housing (on the manifold). Can you see a little recess ring on the manifold for it to sit in?
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I want to say that the spacer/splitter is for better hose clearance and angles. Most automotive applications have the thermo right in the manifold.
