    Default Fixed trim tab

Hey guys so I've been trying to tune my wake for surfing and boarding with much difficulty. I realized I have a fixed trim tab and I'm sure it is not helping for what I want to do (we never ski) so I'm wondering if I could just take it off and patch the hole has anyone ever done this
    Thx

I've heard of the fixed one. Never heard of anyone taking it off. If I did I'd replace it with the power wakeplate. Well worth the money to help you dial in the wake for each activity.

Yes you can probably just take it off and put the screws back in for now. I'd replace it with an adjustable one like kane said

If you remove the fixed plate I would strongly recommend an adjustable plate. With my adjustable up 50%, it porposes really bad at top speed. Pulling a boarder up with no plate will also take longer, and you may not like the wake you get with it off.

It's about 1400$ to add the OEM wakeplate yourself. Just added one to my LSV..

Add a IBS upfront and use that to balance it out, kinda slow but works..

Sure, or bring a fat kid.. Probably easier and faster to move people to the bow or rear.

I have that same tab. FWIW I would just leave it alone and spend your efforts elsewhere.

It's only what 3.5" off the back? Highly doubt it will affect anything at wakeboard speed and maybe tiny if anything at surf speed...

Plus it makes a great place to mount your underwater LEDs without having to drill into the hull.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
