    Default Storing with tower folded

So were getting ready for the move to Charlotte. The boat will be in dry storage with the tower folded. I have a v2 tower with 4 rev 8s. With the tower all the way down all the weight is resting on the steering wheel. Without the revs I wouldn't think twice about all the weight on the wheel but with them, it seems like a significant amount of pressure on the wheel. On the other hand, I could set a bumper on the dash and have the towers weight be spread across the dash. I know I could fashion some wood to do the job but I'd like to avoid adding another item to store in the boat.

Just seeing what others are doing and their thoughts.

I seem to have neglected the fact that my boat will be covered while in the dry storage, duh. New question, do you guys let your cover bear the weight of the tower. I ha e an aftermarket snap cover that is quite heavy duty.

I put a 2x4 across my window and let the tower rest on that
