Default 1998 Kanga...worth it for wake boarding?

My neighbor will sell his 1998 Moomba Kanga to me for $11,000 with 150 hours on it. He has kept it in great shape but want to know if it is worth it. I am an excellent skier but novice wakeboarder. I am board with skiing and plan on devoting my time to boarding. This boat does not have a ballast system and the 1998's do not have a stern storage area for a fat sac. Is there a good after market ballast system I could put in this boat? Will I be able to produce a decent wake with this boat? Is it worth it or should I keep looking for a boat with a ballast system and designed for wakeboarding? Thanks in advance.

A friend just sold his 1989 ish Supra DD open bow (600+ hours - might have been 800+) for $7,000 and change (the boat cost him $1,000 a year - not bad). That Kanga is a steal.

Search Fat sacks and get after it.

You don't really need rear storage for sacks. In fact we never put ours in there. We actually surround the motor cover and maybe put one in the walktrhough. Just make sure whatever you get can take being stepped on a lot...

Our Launch Pads seem pretty durable.

I agree $11000 for a boat with 150 hours is pretty decent.

You can check out boat values at www.nada.com

    Enjoy
