Have you tightened the current one up any? I have had mine replaced once in 9 years and it didn't need it then. I haven't touched mine in 2 years. For what its worth

I just used a pair of channel locks. Loosen the jamb nut (the thin one) and turn the big one just a little. Might be able to turn with your hand. Should do this in the water to watch for the drip. Needs to drip about every 30 to 45 seconds while boat is in gear idling. Not hard at all.

That OJ was the last one in my 07 LSV and it totally blew out on me last year. It was running into the boat with a stream about the size of a number 2 pencil. I drive to the Moomba plant and bought a new setup, they are not using that one any more. I had to drive to the factory because I had family in town from out of state to go boating when it decided to stop working.

Honestly getting water in your boat is going to happen, If it were up to me I wouldn't have a dripless seal I would keep it simple with the packing rope. All you need to do is tighten that nut a half turn and it will slow down the drip and your good to go for another 2 years. When the dripless seal goes it usually goes in a really bad way. I just don't see the value in it unless your going to put the boat in the water and leave it for months.

Where do I find this on my 2008 Outback DD ? I usually keep my boat in the water for 3 weeks straight and it has always been in the back of my mind should it fail. Paranoid ?
