Re: Sub woofer in 2006 lsv

Can someone please help me out. I purchased a 2006 LSV and want to install a sub. The space under the drivers area is kind of small to place a box. So i was thinking about installing it into the kickplate under the drivers dash.

Has anyone had this done from the factory or aftermarket? Do they install it into the kickplate or do they make a new box area?

Does anyone know if the kick plate is sealed and meant to be a sub woofer box? If i cut out a hole in the kickplate is there wires i need to worry about cutting?

You should be able to unscrew the kickplate.

The place that did my stereo setup built a box on the backside of the plate and installed a 13" jl sub there and it rocks.

My kickplate looks like part of the boat. The carpet runs right into the box with no seams...

If anybody has any pics of their sub set up I would be greatfull.
