    Holy Shizzle Nizzle man. Cracked the block in the Valley. MAN, I have never seen an engine let go in that spot. I would have expected heads, or something. Dam bro sorry.

    You would have thought the freeze plugs would have let go first. Thought thats what they are there for.

    Sadly no. They are there for the casting process. Ive seen plenty rust out, but rarely one pop due to freezing.

    Todd, just read this thread big bummer, sorry to hear and I feel your pain, sick to my stomach.
    Amazing what a quick hard freeze can do.

    Thought this was just a weather thread... Last week 20 and 7 inches of snow , this week 60's and raining. Messing with my winter sports.....

    Well that's horrible. Doesn't make sense. Especially on a marine engine that has no coolant.

    Rant: Really? After decades of having automotive engines adapted for marine use, why don't marine engines drain themselves?
