yup were already getting warned that their could be localized flooding from ice jams because the thickness of the ice is abnormally high due to the cold winter. We are seeing some melting but we have a long long loooonnngg way to go yet. so sick of this

Yeah, I am sure that as the weather warms up they will start to come out of hiding on our river as well. We will see how many we see at spring round up this year!

Blizzard today! Does not feel like tomorrow is April!

    Here is the forcast:

    This Afternoon:
Snow with widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Steady temperature around 19. Windy, with a north wind 30 to 32 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches possible.

    Tonight:
Snow with widespread blowing snow before 1am, then widespread blowing snow and a chance of snow between 1am and 5am, then a slight chance of snow after 5am. Low around 10. Windy, with a north northwest wind 29 to 34 mph decreasing to 23 to 28 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

That's 11 to 17 inches of new snow. It feels like summer will never come.
