If you look closely, the tabs, or blades as they call them, have a curve to them. They are not flat like conventional tabs.

With the 90° angle, it looks like a combination of Nautique's NSS and Mastercraft's surf tabs.

people have been adding standard trim tabs to boats for years and years, why could these not be added to a older hull, but use the standard way to bolt them on like MC did. Pretty sure the ram mount on the tab could be modified to get them to deploy further to achieve the barrel position. I for one would love to have my boat stay level when surfing and still produce a great wave

I don't see why you couldn't. If you bought the tab system and then mounted it, all you would need is a switch system like the Wake Plate uses. The key is, can you buy them separate without a boat attached LOL.

I don't think standard trim tabs deploy to 90 degrees. Stick your hand out of the car window when your driving home from work today and see the difference in resistance between having your fingers pointed to the front of the truck versus straight up. The bigger issue may be how/where you mount the ram to be able to drive the tab to that 90 degree position.

.... and having the hull support so it doesn't rip out the back of the boat.
