    I'd suggest contacting Jon at SC directly - ask for the part number and dimensions of the hinge(s) for a 2006 OBV. Then contact your favorite SC dealer and have them order it. Will save you a lot of time. Not money necessarily, but time.
    So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

    Probably just use a piano hinge and add some mounting hardware to the cushion then I can mount it anyway I need to..

    First is looking back the width of the left hatch.



    Width of engine hatch.



    Width of right hatch. (Port side)





    Hings on the left and right compartments. Front and back are the same size

    So the one image I did not take with a reading is the one you needed. Always happens that way. I say it does look like one inch. If you need it I can get back out there tonight to get it for you.
