Nope, I've used the cheaper one with limited success.. I'm sure I'd lose the remote pretty quickly unless it's affixed somewhere..

If you're gonna do it, you're required to play 70's music. Jussayin...
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Same controller as in your original link, but single color, not RBG. Its divided into three zones: tower/exterior, main cabin and bow.

Damn you for showing this to me. Okay, please add "rewire LED's with RGB's" onto the project list. (okay, it's likely that this might have to wait until I have a V-drive for my next boat). But seriously, I REALLY like how with an RGB system you could change the light color to red or orange when the bugs are out. You could change them to WHITE when you actually want to find something in your boat at night (sorry, but the blue really doesn't help much when digging around in my boat at night). I'm likewise thinking that having a zone for bow, tower, and main cabin would be excellent. I know that there are times when I'd like to shut off my bow speaker grill lights for better visibility when driving at night.
Damn, I love LED's.2008 Moomba Mobius XLV. Monster Cargo Bimini, WS Rev 410's, Polk Cabins, 3 Infinity Subs, PPI amps, WS420, Exile BT, upgraded ballast pumps, up to 3,500+ pounds of ballast, Blue LED's...
1992 Supra Sunsport. **SOLD** 2k pounds ballast, Surf System, Blue LED's everywhere, decent audio system.

Need help. looking to install single color speaker rings x7. What do I need, how to get them to react to music independently? Zones? What controller?
Thanks
