    Default TV help???

In the new house finally got around to mounting the 46 inch LCD sharp tv to the wall in the basement.

Worked fine on the credenza , when finally hung, turn on power and only blue screen, can't get to menu, change inputs, volume etc. only power on/off.

It is 6 yrs old, did it just die? Ugh!!

One way is to do an internet search. I found if a problem is common, you will have more information to work with than you need. If there is no information then your situation is unique and your system is probably toast. But I think you are in luck as others appear to have gone through the same trouble. Try this one as there appears to be a reset. Just don't push the red button.

Z, not sure I see where the hard reset is. I can't get to any menu items. Just power on/off. Did not see little red button instructions to avoid.

Put it back on the credenza?
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I gotta agree, except change it to a 135" 2:35 wide drop down screen and don't forget to add (2) 12" or 15" subs, then ceiling hang a JVC projector! then put your chairs about 10 to 12 feet away.

See, even home theaters can have a "Zipper Effect"!!

    • Did you get that 46" TV working?

I just upgraded from a 62 dlp to a new plasma, the difference is amazing.. watch out for the glare, that's a big issue with the plasmas and leds, I slipped the 3d..
