Stock vs factor ballast in direct drives
Hi.
Did some of the direct drives come with factory ballast? Is it more convenient to fill/empty factor ballast than aftermarket?
Thanks for your time

The 2006 + LS had available ballast. Convenience depends on the system you install. Plenty of advice and help on here as to how to design and build the right system for you. Which year/model do you have?
My Mom said I'm not allowed to get wet!

My 2001 Outback DD came with factory rear hard tanks. It was only about 350# though, and these boat need bow weight. We run about 800-1000# in mine total, depending on how many people are on the boat. Fat Sacs and handheld pumps gets old for sure. I wish mine were built in, and I was going to do it, but I realized a should get a V-drive first.
