    Default IBS in an Outback?

Anyone have an IBS in an Outback? Pics? I've heard it doesn't fit well but wanted to see how far off it really is.

I would never have tried it in my 2000 OB LS. Just too low. I could see putting a little 300 cube or whatever up there if the surf bags were full but no way would I have tried a full blown IBS. Liked the boat too much.

I actually think the bag seems to fit the space fairly well and am thinking heavily about doing that as well because I would love to use the ski locker for actual skis!!

Joe -- what is the capacity of that bag and does it fill all the way?

Your hull is set up way better for an IBS. Wouldn't be a bit worried. Careful, but not worried.

What is the capacity of that sac? If its 800lbs then even at 80% that is a nice upgrade from the stock sac in the locker plus i get my locker storage back.

The bag claims 650 pounds. I think that I get around 580 pounds. The space under the seats is only about 10" high and the bag is 12" high. The bag gets nice and tight under there. The nice thing about the newer OBV seats is that they lock in place and do not get pushed up by the bag. I feel that the weight in the nose is way better than the weight in the ski locker, which I believe is 370 to 400 pounds. Plus, now I can store two junior skis and three adult skis in the locker.
