I've got an ACME 1235 on the way. If I can't get the OJ repaired I'll be picking up another ACME as a spare... I don't want to be caught without one again.

If i wasn't so busy i would have seen this.

I have the ACME 1235 in my Mojo and I'm upgrading now. I don't recall the prop number I'm getting but its a BEAST of a prop.

I am having cavitation issue with my 1235 running 3500lbs surfing and 7 people. Not real bad but i can feel it skip every so often.

I used to ruin the 1617 on my LSV which is an Excellent upgrade to the 1235 prop, but Im going even bigger on the Mojo.

    Mike,

I think the prop you will be getting is the ACME 2079. It is a beast and will be awesome with all that weight, should also make that engine work a little less with all that weight. I have a friend who just got the equivalent prop for his MC and your right its a beast and works great. Loose the top end quite a bit but wow handles weight even better than the 1235. I have thought about getting this one sometimes when the MOJO is loaded but am still on the fence as i have never had much for cavitation maybe only a few times. Let me know how it works out!!!

Has anyone tried an Acme 1615? I am having my 1617 repaired and just bought a 1235. My boat weighs around 4,500 lbs and we run just about 3,000 lbs (+/-) of ballast.

    The Acme specs for some of the different props are;

    Part # -- DIA -- Pitch ----- Cup ------- Blades
    1433 -- 14.00 -- 14.250 -- 0.105 cup -- 4
    1235 --14.50 -- 14.250 -- 0.105 cup -- 4
    2249 -- 15.00 -- 14.250 -- 0.105 cup -- 4
    2245 -- 14.50 -- 14.500 -- 0.105 cup -- 5
    1617-- 14.00 -- 13.750 -- 0.105 cup -- 4
    1615 --14.50 -- 13.750 -- 0.105 cup -- 4
    2079 -- 14.50 -- 12.000 -- 0.105 cup -- 4
Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...

    Eric.

Ok guys, got my ACME 1235 from Nettles today and just got it installed. Sure doesn't look like a lot of room under there ...

I measured 5/8" down to the prop guard... so only about 1/4" when passing over the rear cross bar... is this normal?

The way I think about it though, is that the trailer is on an angle on the ramp and the boat will be floating above it. The only time the prop gets close to that 5/8" is when it come to its final rest as you pull the trailer out of the water. My boat ends up in the same spot every time, so I would not be worried about that 1/4" you mentioned...

Yup thats the right clearance, I have the 1235 and its pretty close, but like moombahighrider said, when the boat is coming onto the trailer the back is floating.

I just confirmed my order with WakeProps and my new 2079 is on the way. Should be here later today.
