Some Pics from Lake Jocassee last weekend
Finally got my ballast close to dialed in on my old Kamberra. I think I had ~500# left rear, ~800# center locker, and ~800 under left windshield. I didn't realize I had so much in the center locker, so I'll try a little less in it next time and see if I can't lengthen the pocket some. Just estatic I could get a repeatable decently surfable wave finally. lol. Oh yea, 9.6-10.2 mph by GPS.

Thanks to Drew for the good deal on the kids wakeboard, Alex and Rachel both got up for the first time. Rachel never even tried before, and got up on her 2nd or 3rd try!

Jocassee's awesome. Absolutely Gorgeous!!! It is well known for bad storms popping up, so you really need to keep an eye on the weather is all. VERY deep, so water's always nice and cool. Never too busy, mostly due to Devil's Fork being the only ramp. Never stayed there, but it is very nice campground and has cabins you can rent too, and I've heard they're very nice. Multiple waterfalls you can drive your boat right up to. Let me know if you're going to go, and I'll try to provide you some co-ordinates or a copy of my map for location of falls. Now is perfect with all the rain we've been getting. Never seen the falls so nice; been just a trickel for many years. The cliff has some easier places to climb than what's shown, but there were already other people there and the boys and girls were feeling adventurous It is to the right of the launch as soon as you get out of the inlet, immediately N of the damn.

'bout an hour and a half now, thus the reason we never made it up there last year. It was only about 40 minutes before we moved... We can now be on hartwell in ~20-25 minutes, so that's where we usually go, and always try to explore something new on the lake, seeings how it has over 900 miles of shoreline!
You could tour all of Jocassee in a day and still do some watersports, but you could easily spend 2 days there. A lot of divers go there too, as they sunk some old sihp over by the cliff. There's a diveshop right before you get to the lake. there's also boat/jetski/pontoon rentals and fishing charters on Jocassee. It is a really neat lake.'00 Moomba Kamberra
