    Default Dock Lines Recommendation

I saw a couple of boats tied up to the dock at the Moomba Jam this last weekend with what looked like a stretch rope. Might have had the loops on both ends for easy attaching to the cleats. Anybody use these or recommend these? Have a recommendation on manufacturer or length?

They look convenient for a quick tie off.

You can make these yourself very cheaply and easily. Get a splicing tool (called a "fid") and look at some sites like this one. You can make exactly what you want so it works for where you like to tie up. I used to make my own ski ropes, etc. like this.

I use one on the end of my anchor seems to help with the waves.

I also run the rope through the handle of my Exile Balls before attaching to the cleat on the dock. Super quick for when I'm loading and unloading alone

Dude, I was a boy scout, I know how to do an eye splice, lol. I've actually made a bunch of ropes like that, but I was thinking the stretchy ones would be nice for the quick tie up.

Thanks for the Academy direction, I'll check it out next time I'm in there.

I use a combination of these Dock lines , I have a couple of different lengths on board and I have two different size Dock Snubbers which are awesome, I got em in two different colors so I can tell the kids, "Put the red one up front..."

Be careful on what you use to attach to the bumper/ball. Last weekend a bumper that was attached with a carabiner type device scratched up my gell coat and rub rail.

    Default Dock Lines Recommendation

I got some of those from the Moomba/Supra store. I won a gift certificate from the Supra Summer Test Drive event and bought the fam some shirts and had some left over credit so I bought the Moomba dock lines. I haven't been able to use them yet since they just came last week. They were pricey from the Moomba store and I wouldn't have bought them if I didn't have the gift credits. They are well made I just don't think are worth $26 each. $15 maybe. We'll see how they work. They are looped on both ends and have a bungee line inside the rope kinda like an anchor buddy if any of you have or have seen one of those.
