Default Indmar temperature gauge not working

I have a 2005 moomba mobius LS that I bought 2 weeks ago. The guy said his mechanic forgot to hook the temp gauge wires back up. There are 2 wires coming out of the wire tube that you can see in the first picture. One of them is not connected to anything. I have tried looking for a place for it to hook up but can't find anything. The bottom picture is where the other wire is connect. I am assuming there are 2 sensor probs. I tried google searching the location of the inmar temp probs with no luck. Please can anyone help??!? I have also tried switching the wires.

I am dealing with this on my new boat. One that is hooked up is the water temp sender. It sends the signal to your gauge and tells the ECM how cold the engine it. The other (if it's tan with a black stripe), goes to a water temp switch. This switch sends a signal to the ECM if there is an overheat condition in order to go into "limp mode"

Of course, this is the info that I found out about in my indmar engine with TBI. Your may be different. Also long as your gauge is working fine and you watch it, it MAY not NEED to be hooked up. A dealer can tell you.

The "other location may be under your finger in the first picture; there is a plug screwed into the intake.

Alright so both this wires are not for my temperature gauge. Can anyone post a picture of the location of the temperature gauge probe for the temp gauge. My gauge does not work and I thought it was cause of the tan wire with the black stripe not being plugged in. I have the indmar assault 310 carb.

Ive got the same motor in my 2000 LS. I'll make you a trade...

My water temp works but my oil pressure is always 60+ psi almost maxing out the gauge. I'll take a pic of the water sender tomorrow afternoon (dark out now and cover is in the rig). Would you mind taking a pic of your oil pressure sender under the port exhaust manifold? Should be a two wire situation like your water temp sender...

Is this the picture you wanted? I found another wire plug that wasn't plugged into anything. You can see it in the top two pictures. This is just crazy!

    Water sender:

Tan wire is connecter to sender. Tan with black is tied off, which has an original female barrel connector.

    Oil sender:

Blue wire attached to oil sender. Tan with blue is tied off but has a connector like it used to be on the sender. Ideas?

    Hope it helps!
