    Default Trailor specs

    I have a 2000 Mobius V, and need a new/used trailor. Besides the 22' length,
what am I looking for in a trailor that will fit my boat?

Go with a tandem axle - for sure, no exception. 14" wheels or better. At least brakes on the front axle.

My stock springs were rated for 1500lb capacity each, but I recently swapped them for 1700lb each, just because that was what was available at the time I broke one.

Mine has the bunks a bit offset from one another like this:

Here's a few more so you can see the front bow stop, etc.

A swing away tongue would be nice for tight storage spaces but if you don't need it you can save some coin.

    Guide poles are a must.

You'll also want to make sure the bunks are high enough, or can be shimmed, for prop clearance.

For weight specifications if I recall dry weight on the boat is 3200lbs, but add all your gear, fuel, etc, and you'll be a LOT heavier.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

And for the rear bunks positioning the shape of the hull will help with self aligning when you are pulling out of the water. This hull has sort of a notch that the bunks fit nicely on either side of.

    That helpful at all?

With that weight you have to have brakes on at least one axle, I believe, in FL.

Nice huh... That one left a mark.

The front bunks are spaced narrower with the shape of the hull.

Hey Bergermaister could you possibly post a pic of your spring hangers, specifically the one in the center of tandem assembly.

    Thanks, Brian

I would gladly build you one if we could figure out how to hook up. I built my own, there is a thread on it 94booms trailer build.

Sitting with the nose all the way lowered so the center hanger is at an angle.
