Rope Slack - How do I get it?
How do I get slack in the rope to make the handle pass on a 3 easy? I can't get the pass with the line tension.

Try to keep it by your hip from the start and all the way around.

Rope Slack - How do I get it?
To create slack you have to come off edge. However, doing so for most will cause them to lose too much momentum and "case" the wake on the other side. In addition, many people do 180s by just letting go of lead hand and let the natural pull of the boat spin them 180. Which is fine but creates bad habits if you want to take it further. You will not win the tug-o-war with the boat.
After an aggressive edge out and coast creating slack in the line. I like to see a balanced turn in going back on edge to create the needed speed. At the trough flatten off to create slack, ride all the way up the wake (no jumping and spinning off wake) once in the air use a 2 handed pull while trying to bring back hip to handle and put it "in your back pocket". Focus on feeling the handle at your hip and try to feel your lead hand against your body reaching to get the handle from your "back pocket". Don't let your arm flail around reaching or you will get stretched out as the boat pulls away from you. Once the handle is in you hand try to get back on edge ASAP and looking where you want to go.

Try starting out in a switch stance and do a few "blind" 180s. They require a handle pass and you only need half the rotation. That is how I started before 360s. Otherwise, I can't say that I have thought about needing slack, mostly just getting the handle pass in the small of my back, while getting the pop and rotation.

Cool. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll try flattening off before the wake to get the slack for the handle pass. The switch backside 180s is a good idea too. We will see how it goes this weekend.

Always appreciate reading your advice Todd. I haven't been flattening off before leaving the wake on any of my recent attempts. I've got something to work on ...

Ive tried the BR a few times, it just seems like time accelerates when I am upside down and it is all a blur until I get a face full of water...
