Default 2008 Moomba Outback Ballast bag Problem

Our first day out with my Outback this year was great except for one slight problem. We like to ski and wakeboard. When I hit the switch to fill the ballast bag I noticed it wasn't filling. No big deal because it has done it before and we would loosen the plastic bulb next to the pump and usually it would start pumping. I opened the motor cover to look down inside and saw that the motor compartment was filling with water. Cruised back to the lift and drained out the water. Hose to the pump was disconnected. Reconnected the hose and clamped back into place all worked fine except the bag will fill on its own without hitting the fill switch. Doesn't even sound like pump is on . Is there more than one spot to connect to pump as it is hard to see under motor? Thanks for any help; probably something simple.

I will check this weekend and report back on pump connections. Chances are the factory installed ballast in my '07 Outback is pretty similar if not the same as in your '08.
