    Default Cleaning Pontoon Toons

My toons just look like poop! Have you guys had any luck getting them back to half way decent shine or anything?
What kind of products have you used to clean them?
    Thanks

Wickens (sp?) aluminum polish. Works really well with a buffing wheel.

we used green scotch brite pads and some simple green just to get the scum lines off the one we restored. were not looking for new, just a consistent aluminum color

There is an acid wash that they use on semi wheels and milk tankers. Spray it on, wait ten minutes rinse. It works great.

I don't know but we get it at a local semi shop.

You'd want to find an industrial size of this kind of stuff.

Beware - it will burn your skin if you are in contact for too long and will totally remove the polish off any aluminum it touches. Leaves it kind of a white etched finish.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I bought some stuff at academy that was an acid bath for my girlfriends boat, then after that used the pontoon polish they sell. It looked really good afterwards
