    Default Any Thoughts?

I have an idea, but I want to hear yours. I want to be able to hear music while I am skiing but I do not want a wakeboard tower and I do not want to turn up th volume in the boat so high it hurts my wife and kids ears. I can't have the speakers in the way of the tow rope either.

My idea was to mount a smaller size tower speakers on the back of the boat, possibly attatched to the bar thats back there.

headphones are not an option nor is a boombox. I want it to look like its supposed to be there.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Anything at that level will get soaked! Even though some speakers are listed as "marine" or "water resistent" - they are not designed to hang out around the platform of a skiboat.

I know you said no headphones, but there are small, light, waterproof systems for mp3 players. Complete sealed systems.

Go here www.scuba.com and search for "MP3".

    hope this helps,

I've always thought it would be nice to have small speakers up front on the dash on both sides similar what you see in cars. If they could be built into the dash by the windshield would work great but would require some expertise. Your sub-woofer would carry the low frequencies and can be mounted anywhere as that sound tends to travel better. Even with a tower, I get most of my sound while traveling from the cockpit speakers and those who sit in the rear seat (when it's in) do get the benefits of the tower speaker.

You prolly could if the speaker assemblies were light. Otherwise I don't think there is enuff beef to the struts.
