Default PIC REQUEST: Retractable transom strap mounting

Finally got tired of the traditional tiedown transom straps so i bought a set of the retractables. Can anyone with a newer lsv/obv/mojo on a boatmate trailer post a few pics of where you/factory mounted it. Thanks in advance

Why is it the boat's fault? I wonder why a $5k trailer doesn't come with straps?

I've never used rear tie downs. Never saw the need.

You might if you ever have to make a severe maneuver while towing. There have been pics posted of boats in the bed of the truck. You might even get cited for an unsecured load and if somebody is injured and its your fault . . . .

I never use them unless I travel the highway and by law they are required. As far as swerving, the tow vehicle will be on its side before the centrifugal forces are enough to launch the boat off the trailer. A head on collision would be the exception.

once saw a guys boat bounce about a foot into the air and slam down on the trailer when he hit a curb in a parking lot. I had my tie downs ready to go before taking delivery of the boat.

Tie downs are what saved my Jeep and the front of my OBV in our accident.
