Speed cluster problem (help)
My speedometer doesn't want to hold his speed. The arrow is always moving from 0 to the end of the cluster. Sometimes it stays on the speed for about 20-30 sec before going crazy again. Is there anything I can do about it before going to the dealer ($$) ?
I know I can take off the cluster under the steering wheel but just want to know before if this is a frequent problem.
Thank you
Boat is an moomba LSV 09

check the paddlewheel underneath first for any damage, then check wire connections on the inside at both the paddlewheel and all the way to the speedo. You can replace the paddlewheel assembly on your own for not too much $$ (if I remember correctly, Mike Mandley and/or Ian did this) before taking it to the dealer.

Speed cluster problem (help)
Has anyone heard that excessive trailering can cause the paddle wheel to spin too fast thus messing up sensors. Mine was doing the same thing that you describe but no visible damage. Boat mechanic told me as much as I trailer I should put the blank in while trailering.
Bought a new paddle wheel on eBay 39.00 i think and fixed problem

yes, I have heard that can happen but it might have been on here, so who knows if it's true, or not.
