Replacing Cap & Rotor
I was wondering if anyone uses automotive cap and rotor vs. marine. Most of our marine stores here have folded and ordering I might not get it in time. Thanks in advance for the help.

skidim and AWS also have the parts.
The problem with the auto store is getting the correct cap. Since no GM car has used the 5.7 in a long time, most stores will search for a 99-01 Van or HD truck. That cap MAY work, but is NOT shaped or designed like the one on your boat. Also, the marine use cap and rotor are made from a different metal to combat corrosion "better".
Any MC or Bu dealer in your area will carry the same cap for Indmar engines.1997 MasterCraft 205

Thanks for the help I was able to find a small marine store about 15 miles away that carries all the needed parts!
