Yes you can keep flipping the switch, Even with my newer timer settings my timers will say the bag is empty or full and its not.
Just fkip switch to off and back on the pumps will turn on again for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Rinse and Repeat till your bag is full or empty. Little more time consuming but it works LOL.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.

Great thanks
I suppose that timing will need to be adjusted when I am using the X-Link system to fill one bag when using both pumps?
6 minute run time then?

OK now your opening a can of Worms Mr.
This is the issue i deal with my X Link.
Think about this, the timer system is strickly an ON OFF system. It has no way to Calculate the actuall amount of water in a bag.
You hit the water,
Boat is empty,
You have to fill 1 bag the old fasion way because X link is bag to bag, not Lake to Bag.
So the timer has to be set for enough time to Fill the first bag.
Then you switch to the other side,
Full bag is draining on its own pump, timer is happy.
Empty Bag is filling on its own pump, timer is happy.
Now you introduce X Link pump to the mix.
Full bag is now draining 2xs the speed but the timer doesnt know this.
Empty bag is now filling 2xs the speed but the timer doesnt know this.
Basically on my dash that shows % full of each bag. My Empty bag shows 50% and my Full bag shows 50%
So now im back to ON and Off with the Switch to make things work..X Link really screws with the timers.
So i have set my bag timers to 20 minutes, and i ignore the Dash read out and listen to the pump for when its running dry.
I honestly HATE HATE HATE the Dam timers, id rather risk buying impellers LOL.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.

Oh geez this is getting complicated...
Wakemakers sold me on the idea of the X-Link with the claim that I could fill my 1100's twice as fast by starting to fill both bags and then using the X-Link once there was enough water to start transferring from the "non surf" side.
However they did not mention anything about the ballast timers and what might work best
I don't have the dash % guages in my 2009 system, so in the past I would usually check the bags as they fill/drain, cycling the switches as required.
Sounds like I will still be doing the same thing and will just have to decide on what ballast timing works best for me?

I would set the timers to a time that Fills the bag completly. I think your timers are set up that they only shut off is the pump for X amount of time, mine shut off when the % reads 100 or 0.
If yours only cares about X amount of run time then the X Link will still work as intended with no real issues, you will just need to pay attention when draining bags so you dont run the pumps dry for too long a periodMalo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.
