    Default Steering Cable Issue

I recently installed a new steering cable and have came to notice it turns way better to the right and not the left. Not sure what i did wrong.

I'm not sure what "way better" means, but it's normal for a boat to turn better one way than another. Has to do with the direction of rotation of your prop; one side you're fighting against that natural torque, and the other side goes with it.

When you installed the rack to the helm are you sure you had it centered, meaning the cable was about half way fully extended, and also had the rudder basically centered? If you are getting a tighter turn to one side and not the other one was most likely a bit off?

When you swapped cables did you compare the old to the new to make sure they had the same length cable ends protruding from the shielded casing?

Just throwing out some thoughts on where to start looking.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
