Default Cradle lift for my new Mobius LSV

I just purchased a new 05 mobius lsv (my first inboard) and need to figure out what is needed to change the bunks on my boat lift. Currently I have the straight metal cradles with 8" bunks. Does anyone know what the minimum height of bunks needed for clearance? Would 12" bunks suffice or is a v cradle needed?

I will be addressing the same issue this spring. I think we are planning to take measurements of the boat sitting on the trailer, and go from there. If you find out a better solution, let me know.

Don't they make one with adjustable bunks, you know, kinda like a generic one?

When we purchased our lift the installer measured and set up the lift exactly like the boat trailer, they measured the height of the bunks off the trailer and used those as their starting point. Start with that and then just float the boat on and off and make adjustments as needed.

Well the mystery was solved this weekend... down here in Florida it was 68 degrees and glassy out. This is why you live down south. Put antother hour on the new boat. A perfect day to try the retrofitted lift. The final solution was 2- 2x12 pressure treated carpeted bunks (one for each side) 36" apart and 14' long on the metal cradle. It took a little time to fit but appears to work great.

    Thanks for the input everyone.
