Default Pulled the trigger on tint

Finally pulled the trigger on tint for the boat. I'm pleased with the result and can't wait to see her out on the water. In a couple weeks our group is putting together a fun run with 5-6 wake boats and 5-6 go fast boats being chased by a photographer in a helicopter. They got some great shots last year.

    GTFO! Take me with you!

I also want to get my windshield tinted. Think I am going to take mine off and take it to the tint shop. Save a LOT of money from what they told me!

Tint is 22%. It was done by a buddy at my house but he does it as a side job. For those trying it themselves... pull the glass off the boat and work inside the garage. Wind, direct sun and heat are all very bad things. He actually did the port side glass (seen in picture 2) on the boat before thinking about taking it out. Not sure he would have been able to do glass in front of helm if not.

    On the 08 LSV

you have the 2 screws on the ends by the tower feet, by fare the hardest part.
Pull the rubber strip out of the window edge
Remove the 2 center pins on the flip open portion of the windshield
Unscrew the bracing from the dash to the corners of the windshield
On the 2 sides remove apx 8 screws, 2 will be slightly different as they have a bolt under the hull.

Look up under the dash above the rubrail and you will see them. it takes 2 people, 1 with a screwdriver and one with a socket on the inside nut.

Grab the section closest to the walk-through with both hands, one near the top and one right at the base by the dash. Gently but firmly pull up, the foam will be stuck but it will break lose.

Hand the windshield to your buddy on the ground.
