    Default southern weather

    ok...

since the weather sucks here and most everywhere else north.....

    Poll question:

how many think those in the south should not talk about the weather anymore?

Man, that was a tough one. Not tough to decide, but it's 85 here today and my hand was so sweaty it kept slipping off the mouse. As soon as the water warms up to around 76 we can head out with our shorties.

wear a suit all the way up to 76 degrees?! Do yall Florida folks bundle up with a heavy jacket too when the air temp drops down to 60?

Soon as the water hits high 60's we are in without em! Takes the breath out of ya, but it's doable and refreshing after a long set of boarding!

i prefer a heater top in the high 60s, why be uncomfortable if you dont have to? would be in the water but im tyumen russia still, half way done though, when i get home in 1.5 weeks it will be on!

oh and we still have snow on the ground here. i think we are up there with those canadians as far as latitude and longitude go

I've never actually worn my wetsuit other than to try it on. I'll go out as early as anyone will go with me around here. Last year the water was 62 and air 77 when I started in Feb. This year, no takers so far. We have had warm weekdays and cold rainy weekends so far. Looks like more of the same this week.

Didn't touch a snow shovel this year and in the past I can count the times I shoveled each year on one hand. Very seldom any ice on the water and in the 100s in the summer with guarenteed no rain from July through August (7" all year). No hurricanes, no floods, no earthquakes but we do have wind on occasion. Just bring money because the cost of homes is high because we never have a recession. Oh yea, I live further north than Minneapolis. Another thing..we have leaking nuclear waste tanks (they have been leaking for decades but don't tell the news people).
