    Default 53deg is cold.

    But went out anyway First weekend of the season 4/6 in Chickamauga Lake.

    Last year we started when it was 48 degree water. A full wetsuit helps plus gloves and booties

    53 is respectable cold water for the wet suit. Gloves is real nice, i went bare foot in the 51 water and my feet were fine. Face sure hurt when i would fall though.

    That's because at that temp the water is frozen over. I think water freezes right around 59, at least in the south.

    Well I was going to get the Mojo out last weekend and head to the same spot, but after seeing the water temp u posted I think I'll wait another 2 weeks or so! I am a cold weather wennie! Even with wetsuit it better be about 60deg! If you see a red and white mojo come say hi! We are building a house on Savannah Bay in Harrison Bay so I need some pointers on the best spots from the Dam to Harrison Bay Area.
