    Default Skim and Surf?

Whats the difference between the two? Right now I have a hyperlite broadcast and couldn't tell which one it is?

If the board is skinny like a cracker, then it's skim. If it's thick like a slice of bread, then it's surf.

    Sorta agree with this..

It also has to do with the size of the FINS.

Skim always have small long fins to allow less tracking in the water and make tricks easier. Also most real skim boards wont work to well for heavy riders because they arn't buoyant enough.

Surf style boards have the larger deep protruding fins and tend to be harder to spin due to there tracking. Surf boards also come in all sizes for all size riders.

Not all boards with small long FINS are skim either, exp a CWB ride is a thin board, with long thin fins, but this is a surf board not a skim board.
