Old board racks repair
So after years of fighting with rubber inserts in my old board racks I finally figured out a great solution. I ordered some shrink tubing that we use on battery cables. I was able to use 1" on the top and middle fork and 3/4" on the bottom. They came precut at 6" so all of them would match nicely. Sorry the racks are dirty yet.

Been too busy using the boat to clean it lol. Lots of farming around here so after a 10 mile tow to the water they look like that.

Me too. 30 mile tow through the swamp. They get half an inch thick on my racks.

Great idea! I'm saving that for when mine get torn beyond repair.
Actually did a similar fix on a pair of sunglasses that had the rubber bumpers coming off the frames around the ears. Worked like a charm for the last year and a half.So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
