    Default Black mold spot removal

So trying to get ready to go out for the first time this year. The black seems to have broken out it a black mold spot rash.

Anyone have tips to remove these spots?

Any ways to help prevent further out brakes?

Try other mild cleaners first. But, if you have to go harsh, use "Totally Awesome" from the Dollar Tree and a magic eraser. Be careful as the magic eraser is abrasive. Be sure to follow up with some 303 protectant.

I get this at Boat US but I think you can order it from Wally's with free shipping to store if they don't have it:

I wonder how a steamer would work for something like this? I would think for sure it would kill off the mold spores, but you might still be left with the black mark that requires a cleaner anyways. I think it would be safe for carpet, but the heat may crack vinyl depending on where you have it.

If you got one, give it a try. Be sure to dry in the sun afterwards since you are still adding moisture that surrounding carpet would pick up and any remaining spores would thrive on.

I have had great success with Starbrite Mildew Stain Remover. Follow the directions, it seems to work fine that way. Follow up with a vinyl dressing like 303.

This may be a little extreme, but I had some bad spots on my yellow sections a few years ago. They looked purple and no amount of scrubbing or chemicals on the surface seemed to get them out. I got some very tiny needle syringes from the medical clinic I used to visit, did a 50/50 mix of water and bleach, and then injected it into the spots on the cushion. I held the needle at an angle almost parallel to the surface, if that makes sense, to avoid having a pin hole show. Did 3 or 4 spots and it actually worked pretty good and didn't get brittle. I figured I'd rather have a slightly lighter spot (bleached) than a dark spot showing.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
