Default Not so sure about spring

OK, fact of the matter, it's still too cold out, too much snow on the ground and oh yeah way to much ice

But I was thinking the other night about how much we have to get done in the spring to enjoy the lake.

For me as a lake property owner its not just getting my outback out and getting it ready for water, in fact that is the easiest part.

I have to get the peirs in, get the lifts in, make any lift repairs needed (have one lift right now that needs a new cable) Get the canopies on the lifts. Clean up lake front, put away winter toys (sleds, ice fishing equip etc), then I have to get kayaks down for kids, get jet ski ready for kids, get fishing boat ready, get pontoon ready....I can go on and on. Seems like an awful lot of work for 3 mnths of summer

I would trade being stuck at a desk to doing all that any day!
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

If it makes you feel any better it was almost 80 today and we spent it on the water. Nice to be wakeboarding and surfing again.

At least some of us are enjoying the weather.

    I didn't even look. I'd guess 70, maybe a little cooler.

Last weekend was perfect weather to be out but we were stuck at a baby shower. This weekend we are hitting the water for the Crawfish and Cowboys festival in Onalaska on the lake. Weather this weekend rainy Saturday and cold Sunday...just our luck

We should have gone on Monday or Tuesday this week. Calm winds and warm days. Yesterday was still great though, just windy.
