Default Boat Lift Setup for 2012LSV

Does anyone have any specs for proper placement of Bunks for a shoremaster vertical lift?

I will try to setup based of the trailer, but usually requires some fine tuning in the water when the boat arrives.

When I setup my Great Lakes lift. I measured the height (to clear the skegs) and width of the trailer bunks, I narrowed them slightly toward the bow to create an automatice stop on the boat so the strut and prop would not pull through and hit the cross bar of the lift..

    this thread may help.

congrats on the new 12 Lsv and welcome to the forum!

You want to make sure the rear support does not hit the prop shaft when lifting the boat out of the water.

If you can swing it, put a 110V winch with remote on your lift too. It makes getting in and out sooo much easier. As soon as I float off the lift I hit the remote for a few seconds to raise the lift just enough so when I come back in I can idle in under power and the bunks stop me.

I wouldn't trade my 110V winch with remote for all the Crown Royal in the tri-state area!

I second the 110v winch, I would not have it any other way.

I have the same lift with a 12v powered motor and a big solar charger since there isnt power anywhere its awesome hit the remote and she goes down... when I set up my lift I measured the bunks on the trailer and made some minor adjustments to the lift I have the front bow stop and recommend one for you as well so there is no need to worry about driving over the lift

The front pad is very cushy I hit mine a few times harder than I should have without issue... I set my bow stop so when I float in the nose will just barely go over it and it catches the d ring on the front of the boat its really nice cause you can set it and you know your boat sits in the right spot every time

I looked I couldn't find a pic with my old boat on it

edit: I feel dumb I have A SHORE STATION NOT A SHORE MASTER

Do you ever have any problems with your 12v battery draining on you over the weekend? I had that similar setup with a small solar cell and by the 3rd or 4th time up and down in a day it was dead. I got tired of hauling out the battery charger and put on a 110v.
