No doubt I am very impressed with re my 10s are very accurate and very clean and still get really loud and the excursion is amazing for a sub under 150$ a pop

Maybe a stupid question, but I thought that cross support (where you installed your perko switches) was structural. Why else would it be there blocking up space? Is there concern for drilling such large holes into it?

I'm a total newb, but I don't even understand what I can drill in my boat.

Um I don't think so it's more of a visual disconnect between the storage area and the seat backs

It does hold a structual purpose but not a load bearing one. It helps ad rigidness to the side panel from the Observers dash down. Other wise that large panel would bow and felx causing cracks.

As long as you dont remove it completly i dont think it will hurt anything.

Also even though he is drilling holes, hes also bolting a solid scruture to it to help reinforce the holes he cut out of it.

SC also drills holes into it but its only to put wires through it.

it could just be the cable..i replaced it a few times, i think like 2-3 times and after a while its it or miss..unplug it, plug it back in...error..unplug it, plug it back in..error.. then after a few times it will work

    well a little interest news
i went to the local car audio shop yesterday they where having a free meter and demo day. i took the boat up there just to see what she would do. we first meter'd with the mic on the glass above the steering wheel. the boat did i wanna say a 129.4db i think. im not a 100% on that but we did video it and as soon as we get it uploaded to youtube ill post links.

then just for fun we put the mic right in front of the port of the sub box. it meter'd a 141.9 db
thought it was pretty cool for only 550 bucks worth of sub and amp

    ill put up links asap
