Yeah last years pre Jam thursday night dinner was kind of late but we got some boarding in before it started so it was worth it! HAHA. I know we will be down for some El Rancho Viejo Friday night! Some Fajitas and Mexican food is always welcome. We may want to head that direction around 7 tho!

David posted about a hotel in Trinity also. Here is the name of the other hotel in case anybody missed and needs it.

    Awesome!

As we get a little closer, I will post up the maps again for those who aren't familiar with Bethy Creek. I will post maps of the lodging area, the cove/tie-up spot in front of Bethy Creek, as well as the cut from Bethy Creek over to the Trinity River aka Heaven.

You should draw the path to the cut on the map if you can.

Below are a few maps for those of you who have never been to Bethy Creek Resort before. These will show you the layout of the Resort as well as the path you take to make it to and through the cut.

    Bethy Creek Resort:

The "Green" areas are paved Boat & Trailing parking ONLY. Please keep these reserved for Trucks with trailers only.
"Yellow" areas are unpaved areas where you can park your trucks/trailers.

We are going to have A LOT of boats so please use good judgement on space.

"The Cut" is a man-made channel marked with guidepoles that leads into the Trinity River. This 'cut' is only a few feet deep so use these tips when passing through:

    From Bethy Creek Resort:
    Follow the guide below.
-Green, you are ok with normal cruising speed - not wide open though.
-Yellow, you should slow it down to just a little over idle.
-Red, IDLE speed. It does get shallow but you will be ok. Follow the guidepoles to stay in the channel.

    Passing through the cut:
    - Go slow. Idle speed only.
    - Empty ballast before passing through (recommended)
    - Stay in the buidepoles (From Bethy Creek Side)

The yellow 'hazard' area we normally stay away from (stumps, etc). You are ok to cruise slowly in the area but we normally just stay away.

Once you get into the Trinity River (Welcome to Heaven), you go North or South for many miles. Wide river. Deep (20-40ft) in most areas. No hidded sand bars that anyone has every come across. Glass all day.

I am probably missing a few pointers, so I hope David, Dusty, Brett, Matt or anybody else also familiar with the area, will chime in.
