Oz tower speaker wiring
Hello,
How are you guys running speaker wire in your Oz towers? Upon first glance it seemed really easy, using the stock 2 holes drilled from the factory, run down the front side of the tower into the mounting bracket - but I just pulled the grommet and realized the place that is drilled does not connect to the front tower pole. Are you drilling through the front all the way through to the other side and then plugging it?
Thanks,
Dev

Yes, drill through the first hole into the front tube. I used a fish tape and pushed the wires up from the bottom, and had someone watching through the hole to watch and pull them through. The trick is that the tower needs to be held up a little, just above windshield height.

Ian,
I was going run a separate 14ga to each speaker, were you able to pull yours all the way from the bottom up around the bend to the driver side of the boat? Are there any tricks to doing this?

Oh you've got to be kidding me.
I just finished fishing the wire up both sides, soldered and heat shrunk the connections, and found out the Exile speaker clamp does not fit on the starboard side. WTF? Of course when I test fit, I only put the port side speaker on. I wasn't aware the tower was not identical on the sides.
Suggestions?

If you are having fit problems with Exile Clamps, or any problem with Exile Clamps get me pictures and what your problem is, i can help you get it resolved ASAP.
Im not aware of any issues with the new towers and Exile clamps. I know the new towers are a slightly smaller diameter then the prievious years towers but they are still biger then the Outback tower diameter and Exile has speacial clamps for those towers also.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One.
