2000 Outback - Starting Problems
My friend took my boat out while I was in Hawaii and he ended up breaking the ignition switch. From what he told me it was having trouble turning, but eventually would start. Him and his girl went out to the sandbar and when they tried to start it again the ignition switch turned completely around. He's since purchased a new ignition, but the new one has four prongs instead of three. I was able to get the accessory power to work but it will still not turn. I'm wondering if it's just the wrong ignition switch, or is there something wrong with the starter? Which was why he forced the key and caused it to break. Any ideas? It's a 2000 Outback with about 200 hrs.
Thanks,
Jeff
